Privacy and your information
What we keep, who can see it, and when it is deleted.
Conversations are public
Anyone on the internet can read the conversations, including prayer requests. Please share only what you have permission to share.
What only church staff can see
- Contact details you give when you sign up for an event or to volunteer. Other visitors see only how many spots are taken.
- Email addresses and device settings for notifications.
- Reports about messages and moderation records.
How long we keep things
- Your messages stay until you or a moderator remove them. When you delete a message, its words are removed right away.
- Removed messages: moderators can see the words for 90 days in case of appeals, then they are erased.
- Sign-up contact details are erased 90 days after the event (30 days after you cancel).
- Email notification addresses are deleted as soon as you unsubscribe. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days.
- Copies of emails we send you (for example a confirmation link) are kept for 30 days in case something goes wrong, then deleted.
- Internet addresses are never stored as-is. We keep a scrambled version for up to 30 days to stop spam.
- Guest names not used for 400 days are deleted. Messages already posted keep the name they were posted with.
- Backups are kept for about two months, so deleted information can remain in a backup for that long.
Deleting your information
Go to Forget me to remove your guest name, messages, votes and sign-ups from this device's guest identity. You can unsubscribe from emails with the link in any email. For anything else, contact the church office.
No tracking or advertising
This app has no ads and no tracking. It uses only the cookies it needs: one to remember your guest name, and, for staff, one to stay signed in.
