- Open this page in Safari.
- Tap the ••• button at the bottom of the screen (on some iPhones, tap the Share button directly).
- Tap Share, then scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. (If you don't see it, tap Edit Actions and add it.)
- Make sure Open as Web App is switched on.
- Tap Add. The Kyle UMC icon appears on your home screen.
Good to knowOn iPhone, the home-screen app keeps its own storage apart from Safari. If you already posted as a guest in Safari, get a transfer code first, then enter it in the app under More → My messages, sign-ups and guest name. Notifications on iPhone work only in the home-screen app (iOS 16.4 or newer).
Android phone or tablet (Chrome or Samsung Internet)
- Open this page in Chrome or Samsung Internet.
- Tap the menu button ⋮ (Chrome, top right) or ≡ (Samsung, bottom right).
- Tap Add to home screen or Install app.
- Tap Install to confirm.
Android with Firefox
- Tap the menu button ⋮.
- Tap Add app to Home screen (or Install).
- Confirm. Firefox may create a shortcut instead of a full app; it still opens this site.
Computer (Chrome or Edge)
- Look for the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the browser menu.
- Choose Install Kyle UMC (Chrome: “Cast, save and share” → “Install page as app”; Edge: “Apps” → “Install this site as an app”).
Safari on a Mac: choose File → Add to Dock. Firefox on a computer can't install apps; a bookmark works just as well.
Opened from Facebook, a text message or another app?
Apps like Facebook open links in their own mini-browser, which can't install apps or send notifications. Tap Open in browser (often in the ••• menu), then follow the steps above.
